It is really sad when you give these Dirty Harry wannabes extraordinary powers to enforce law. This jackpot has destroyed any community goodwill and betrayed the public confidence. In light of the political climate; especially in Florida; is polarizing people. There is no rational reasoning for the reaction from this cop. The Department of Justice needs to investigate this violation of civil rights and civil action needs to be filed against the officer, the Mayberry – er – Casselberry Police Department.
These examples of an exemplary law enforcement agency had the audacity to state this video was being used for training purposes. Hey fellas, starting the damage control as quickly as possible. We cannot deny that it happened but by God we will use it as a future warning to the lawless disregard of traffic crossings.
If this the example of a lawful use of force for jaywalking then what happens if something serious happens? Like walking home intoxicated. There is no justification for these uniformed thugs to put their hands on anybody like this for a violation so minor that a ticket is issued. The streets of America is not a war zone.
